Originally from Kansas City, Missouri - 

Kelsey Cook has been playing the drums since she was 10 years young.

Before discovering her talent for drumming, Kelsey learned how to Speed Cup Stack in Elementary School. She was the Speed Cup Stacking Champion of Missouri and discovered that her quick hand-eye coordination was a gift that propelled her into becoming a successful musician! 

Known as ‘K.C. from KC,’ she continues to pursue her love for music all around the world!

K.C. has a Music Degree in Percussion Performance from Washburn University and has attended the Summer Shot Program at Musicians Institute in L.A. - College of Contemporary Music. 

She has performed on the NFL Kansas City Chiefs Rumble Drumline as a Snare Drummer. She's also performed with several original bands and artists and toured around the country, including Alaska!

Kelsey teaches one-on-one drum lessons @ Base Academy of Music - www.bamkc.org

She is also available to teach private drum lessons by traveling to students’ practice spaces and working around their individual schedules.

K.C. lived in Nashville for almost 10 years while broadening her music career. During her time there, she toured Canada with Brandy Clark and Miranda Lambert, performed at the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry, and played in the Honky Tonks on Broadway St.

She has also played showcases at SXSW in Austin, TX, and toured the Coasts, opening for Jeff 'Skunk' Baxter, a Hall of Fame Guitarist for Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers. 

K.C. got the opportunity to write, record, and perform original songs with members of her band, MONOKHROMATIX, and their songwriting mentor, Steve Diamond. (Willie Nelson, Eric Clapton, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, etc.)

She is currently playing in multiple corporate party bands in and around the Kansas City area and is also a drummer for hire for original artists and bands.

Kelsey Cook and Lauran Davis started an original group together in 2025 - a Drums and Bass Power Duo, KACĒ ELDĒ, named after their first and last initials (spelled phonetically) - bringing joy and positive energy, supporting and collaborating with like-minded artists in the music business, while also writing fun, uplifting, original music. They have been working with several local artists and have found it incredibly fulfilling and successful!

K.C. endorses Mapex Drums and DreamEarz IE Monitors and is based out of Kansas City, Missouri.
